Seeds of Hope Film Screening

{mimi : ninyi : sisi} - formerly Carpe Diem Events - brings you the film screening of the powerful and inspirational documentary 'Seeds of Hope'.

Set in the heart of eastern Congo, what do the tales of all the women and children have to do with your technology and gadgets...? And how can their hope, courage, strength and determination help us fight for a fairer future.....? Headed by the ultra-matriarch and activist - Mama Masika (RIP) who takes us on a journey from hurt to healed and becomes a mother to many, travel with us through this raw and tense, yet heart-warming event as we learn about our connection to Congo and its people.
Nat Nye - The Alchemist returns to our stage for more life-altering and shape-shifting poetry to usher you into another dimension! Nye's poetry - whether you're hearing it for the first time or the hundreth - you'll be left a better and more 'woke' person than before as his words as a bridge taking you closer to consciousness! UCL Word Up

We proudly present to you the return of Word Up: UCL Black History Month's spoken word which promises to inspire and educate.

Prepare to be inspired as black artists ‘word up’ for an evening of spoken word. Their deep verses will tell stories of inequality, prejudice, racism and the many other struggles that come with being an ethnic minority. They will dispel stereotypes and provide raw but crucial details of being Black and British using the captivating aesthetics of word play.

Entertainment and enlightenment - this an event not to be missed!
